After teaching in a school for a while ( um 17 years, OMG!) you begin to learn a few of the families in the area. Well Ms Paige’s family; aunts, uncles, cousins, etc, have sat in my classroom and I have also had the honor of photographing them since I started this crazy ride of photography 5 years ago. I have come to love watching them grow in number as well as love. Ms Paige has grown from a squishy little newborn into an awesome one year old. She braved the cold at the Ephrata Cloister to get a few holiday and family pictures. Mama did a great job with the hat and coat. She is adorable even though she made me work for every smile that I got!
I have done several cake smashes over the years but I have never seen a little one tear into a cake like she did. I have had several babies once they get their hands on the icing they are done, but not Paige. I loved it, even when she was tired and trying to snuggle she was enjoying the cake. Not only did Paige make the session perfect, her mama continued to surprise me with a perfectly matched tutu and necklace that fit perfectly with the rose colored cake stand. I think she needs to come organize my life 🙂
I loved being part of such a special moment in her life. I feel honored that I get to share these moments and capture all the love, excitement and personality.
