Erika and Alec’s wedding was a lot of firsts for me. First time I ever did a wedding on Friday the 13th. First time I took pictures in a cemetery. The first time a live “Jason” showed up to an event I was photographing. The first time photographing at Wisehaven. The first time having hatchets on cupcakes. The first time having a “Bro-maid”. I could go on, but to sum it all up… it was perfect. From watching tears swell when Erika put on her wedding dress, to the rain holding off long enough to capture the first look to the crazy dancing it was a perfect day.
After meeting Erika and Alec I knew that it would be an amazing wedding and they did not disappoint. But with all the first and crazy antics that made the day so fun, it was the love that was also there that made it perfect. The entire wedding party surrounded the bride and groom as they shared their first dance, and the connection that this wonderful group of people truly demonstrates that you can pick your family. And I do believe that Erika and Alec picked a great family. With all the chaos of the perfect day, it was amazing to watch all the side glances and smiles shared among the friends and family who showed up to share love.
I wish you a lifetime of crazy antics and plenty of love! Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day!
