Mt Gretna Wedding | Melissa and Eric

Wedding Two of September found me in the beautiful surroundings of Mt. Gretna.  I met Eric and Melissa through a previous bride (Dani Brooks).  I find it amazing and so heart warming to have previous clients to recommend me to their friends and family.  I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Eric and Melissa at their engagement session in the winter, in which we froze and their wedding day was the exact opposite, it was just a little warm.  It was a beautiful September saturday with beautiful skies and a small breeze when we thought we couldn’t stand the heat one more minute.

After meeting at Millersville University, Eric and Melissa continued to grow in life and love.  I loved to witness their connection and it makes you believe in soul mates.  These two continue to grow in love and faith.  Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day and I hope that you enjoy some of the images from your day 1 as husband and wife.

It seemed everything in their wedding had meaning, it was such an honor to have a glimpse into their lives and all those who loved them.  The cross in the church was donated by Eric’s great grandfather, you could just tell how meaningful it was to Eric and his family as he explained how it was moved to the new church.  The church had only had construction finished earlier this year and Eric and Melissa were the first couple to be married there.  It was just so sweet to be surrounded by so much history and love.melissa-1405melissa-1470 melissa-1474melissa-1355melissa-1365melissa-1598 melissa-1602melissa-1646

The jewelry Melissa wore also told a story of love and family.  60 year old pearls that had belonged to Eric’s grandmother.  Melissa makes a stunning bride and the pearls only add to her beauty.melissa-1374melissa-1623melissa-34melissa-0126melissa-0081

The Father gave several pieces of advice, but the one that stuck out the most was to remember to hold hands.  It is such a simple gesture but means so much and allows the connection between a husband and wife to grow.  melissa-1703melissa-0167melissa-1770

Mt. Gretna lake was a serene setting to have the celebration for the new husband and wife.  With the breeze flowing it created an atmosphere of love and happiness.  The simplicity of the decorations brought the beauty of the lake.melissa-1453melissa-0020melissa-0026melissa-0038melissa-0009melissa-0121 melissa-0126-2

The speech given by the Maid of Honor wasn’t written down or practiced, it was directly from the heart.  “I wish you a lifetime of kiss me goodnights and I love your mornings.”  I don’t think anyone could give a better wish for a new couple.  True love was shown.melissa-0100melissa-4

Once the dance floor opened up, it didn’t stop all night.  This family knows how to dance and have a great time.melissa-0283 melissa-0256melissa-0377 melissa-0348melissa-0321
